The 2023 UX 250h runs on 87 octane and is EPA rated at 43 mpg city/41 highway/42 combined. In the 210 miles we put on the CUV, averaging 65 miles per hour traversing Southern California highways, we had an average of 41.5 The nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery is charged when applying the brakes or coasting.

Fuel economy for the 2022 UX 250h, which runs on 87 octane gasoline, is EPA rated at 41 mpg city/38 highway/39 combined, but in the Eco drive mode our time traversing Southern California highways covered 221 miles at an average of 42.7 mpg, and on short in-town runs I was getting in excess of 50 mpg.

We now have three working converted prototypes (both described in Fact Sheet above, shown in photos and here ): The Calcars first proof-of-concept: (100+ mpg plus electricity, 10-mile electric range, now with temporary lead-acid battery pack, soon to be replaced by nickel metal-hydride batteries).

Since the early 90’s, during the early stages of first-generation Prius development, Toyota has been committed to in-house R&D of advanced nickel-metal hydride batteries. In the early 1990s, Toyota began R&D on building a practical and affordable hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. This year, the FT-EV2 makes the rounds.

The expansion will add an assembly line to build lithium batteries for automotive applications. Establishing dealer network.

It is aggressively in talks with Portland General Electric Plug-In Charging Stations , ( POR ) and other states including Michigan, and California that are scrambling to offer incentives. Better Place is building stations in San Francisco, Hawaii, Israel, and Denmark to swap out 1,000 pound batteries in a car wash type set up.
