Porsche Digital has spun off its own company in the field of e-mobility, thereby expanding its digital business portfolio. The “&Charge” platform is currently available in Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. Porsche Digital is the technological and digital forge of the Zuffenhausen-based sports car manufacturer.

Just a few months after the launch, Porsche is expanding its charging service for plug-in and electric vehicles ( earlier post ) by five countries and additional functions. A new feature offered by the Porsche Charging Service is a rating function. In Germany, the fee for using the Porsche Charging Service is €2.50 (US$2.86) per month.

Porsche reports that around 60% of all new Panamera models that have been delivered in Europe were equipped with a hybrid drive. The new Panamera plug-in hybrid models were launched on the European market in June 2017. In France, for example, the figure is 70%, in Austria it is more than 80% and in Belgium it is even more than 90%.

I took the day off to walk around Portland to the farmers market and EV awareness day with Krista. This was originally just a human powered vehicle made in Belgium, but the owner added an electric motor to power the rear third wheel to get up the hills in Portland (of which there aren't many in Belgium).
