Harley-Davidson Launches Stand-Alone Electric Bike Brand. Harley-Davidson, the legendary and revered American manufacturer of motorcycles, announced that it is establishing LiveWire as a separate electric motorcycle brand on July 8,2021, just in time for the first of nine outdoor International Motorcycle Shows. The Volt , provided GM can get the lithium battery right , will go about 40 miles on an electric charge. At that point, the internal combustion engine kicks in and recharges the battery while you are driving. Imagine using your laptop computer on a battery. It runs down. Good, sexy cars and a great price.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. Plans Saturn Vue PHEV-10. Aims to get Saturn Vue on road in 2010; no production goal.
