Initially our Electricity was provided by Scottish Power. Asking them to convert to Eco 7 configuration to power the LEAF at cheaper night rate was proving impossible. At the time Scottish Power had little if any concept of Eco7 and ‘smart’ meters. They spend 6 months trying to configure a Type 1 Smart meter to Eco 7.
