Out of 82 BEVs and PHEVs that are either currently available for sale in the US, or expected to be so by the end of 2022, 67 of them, or 81.7%, have a base manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) higher than $39,999, according to new analysis from EVAdoption. Fifteen or 18.3% have a base MSRP below $40,000 and 31 or 37.8%

The gasoline-only production version of this car, the 7 Series, is available today for between $75,800 and $122,600. Despite an advertising budget that rivals available models, the Hydrogen 7 is not for sale. You can't beat a free car and free fuel. As if the world needs to catch up to BMW's environmental leadership!

Most charge points available today take much longer to re-energize batteries than it does to fill a gas-powered cars tank. Perhaps more importantly, quickly "pouring" electricity into many of the batteries available today may stress the very expensive component and shorten their useful lifetime. Follow us on Twitter!
