The California Air Resources Board (ARB) announced that the “cool cars” regulation, which aimed to reduce the need for air conditioning by reducing the heat gain of vehicles parked in the sun ( earlier post ), will cease. The cool cars regulation was early action item under AB 32 and adopted by the Air Resources Board (ARB) in June 2009.
