Tesla just opened its new Austin, Texas factory in April . The income cap returns, although now with much lower limits—individuals buying a new EV with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of more than $150,000, heads of households with an AGI of more than $225,000, or joint filers with an AGI of more than $300,000 would not qualify any longer.

In a flurry of electric vehicle activity, three back-to-back announcements this week have placed a spotlight on Oregon’s plans to be the friendliest state in the nation in which to build, sell and buy electric cars. Even if you charge your EV with electricity made from coal fired generators you reduce your car’s pollution by half.

Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal.
