Chrysler will deliver the first 20 units of its coming 140-unit plug-in hybrid RAM pickup test truck fleet ( earlier post )—10 to Clark County, Nevada and 10 to Yuma, Arizona—later this month, said Chrysler’s Abdullah A. The Chrysler PHEV pickup project is a $97.4-million Technical approach for the Chrysler RAM PHEV.

It initiated the start of the "Plug-in Arizona Educational Tour" for educating one AZ County at a time! A plug and a pack can make a car a 101 MPG vehicle aided by electricity. ! Plug-ins can be moving the USA to regain its energy independence with good ole homegrown American, if not Arizona solar, electrons!

Quicke sidenote: PHEV3A as an acronym now encompasses the Tour de AZ: "Spirit of DC" Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle All Around Arizona (PHEV3A) EVducational Tour (tho it could change, depending on sponsorship to AAA Tour de AZ, or even eTour de AZ). The general theme (and purpose) is: Plug-in Arizona! Bisbee, Cochise County 2.

Cheers PHEV'rs, EVADC'rs, & EVnthusiasts, One & All, The "Spirit" is definitely back on the road -- coming out of Winter Quarters - Bisbee, Arizona. EVJerr even signed up for the 2009 Prius PHEV, too! Second Run was to University of Arizona in Tucson. No longer does the "Spirit" have itchy tires!

In the short trip over, the "Spirit" has a fully blue'd out screen showing that 100MPG, or as declared, 101 MPG had been reached for 30 plus minutes -- that is the regular Prius screen show six 5-minute blue segments all together in sequence! while the "Spirit" was enjoying her opportunity charge. until Amanda came. It was a neat time!

Cheers PHEV3A'rs, EVADC'rs and EVnthusiasts, One & All - In San Diego, the "Spirit" did on PHEV Day 135, Tuesday, 10 February 2009, a run to Cuyamaca College. with 2,492 miles driven with MPG Averge of 55 AH 66.87 Thursday was PHEV 136 Day, 11 February 2009, with the Run to Phoenix. and ICE: 55%. late in the evening.
