Located 15 miles (24 km) offshore Cabinda province in 200 feet (60 m) of water, the Mafumeira Sul project is the second stage of development of the Mafumeira Field located in Block 0.

The well was drilled at a water depth of 976 meters and reached a total depth of 4,107 meters. Eni is operator of Block 15/06 with 35%.
