This is saying something, as she has ridden in or driven many of the 800+ cars I have reviewed for Clean Fleet Report over the past 10 years. It is rare when we post a review of a car that is only available in one of the 50 United States, but such is the case with the 2022 Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), which is only sold in California. In addition, we aim to offer reviews and news on advanced technology and the alternative fuel vehicle market.

We refueled with CNG twice; once locally (with a partial fill, more on this below), and once off the I-5 on the way up to Los Angeles. As with any alternative fuel, be it CNG, LPG, electricity, hydrogen or E85, one of the challenges facing its adoption is both the availability of the fuel as well as the mechanics of refueling.
