Flash Drive: 2023 Toyota Prius Prime PHEV Plug-in Hybrid Technology in an All-New Package Toyota is taking the lead suggesting how you should drive a plug-in hybrid. The all-new 2023 Prius Prime gets two less miles per gallon in hybrid mode than the 2022 model, but the all-electric driving range has increased substantially.

The Motor Trade Association of South Australia has procured a Toyota Prius which has been upfitted with an aftermarket plug-in conversion, as part of its plans to develop hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicle training resources for automotive repair technicians throughout the state of South Australia.

Eligible vehicles must meet all three criteria: Possess a gasoline-electric hybrid or alternative fuel powertrain; Achieve a minimum of 35 highway and city miles per gallon (MPG or MPG equivalent); and. Qualifying Toyota vehicles include the Camry Hybrid, Avalon Hybrid, Prius, Prius Prime, Prius c, Prius v, and Mirai.
