Back in October 2020, General Motors (GM) officially launched the GMC Hummer EV. During the Hummer EV’s launch, GM noted that the base EV2 trim would not be available until Spring 2024, which was over three years away at the time. GM noted that the Hummer EV saw a total of 2,028 deliveries over Q4 2023.

The car is still commonly considered one of the more affordable electric options on the market, and the most recent model year was no different. During the Q2 2021 Earnings call, the company said it would voluntarily recall all 2020-2022 model year vehicles to fix a series of manufacturing defects within battery cells.

For those with the capacity to think back all the way to 2021, you may recall GMC announcing that the all-electric monstrosity that is the Hummer EV would come with a base trim after the limited launch edition (E1) became the less-collectable EV3X. Back in 2020, GM originally announced a $79,995 MSRP.
