Porsche AG has taken a 10% stake in the technology and electric sports car company Rimac Automobili. As part of its electrification efforts, Porsche is seeking a development partnership with the young company. Rimac recently presented the latest version of its electric hypercar, the “C Two”, at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018.

Dr. Martin Winterkorn said that “ The Porsche Mission E and the Audi e-tron quattro concept are nothing less than a quantum leap for our industry ”—both vehicles have an all-electric range of 500 kilometers (311 miles). Audi will present an all-electric, luxury-class sport SUV in early 2018. Total output is 320 kW.

Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV concept, which made its formal debut at IAA in Frankfurt ( earlier post ), is a strong indicator of Audi’s series-production electric SUV due in 2018—especially in terms of the powertrain. The large battery block is bolted to the floor structure of the Audi e-tron quattro concept.
