CROZZ concept vehicle ( earlier post ), which is making its North American debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. vehicles will be designed to speed recharging time over today’s models, and the CROZZ recovers 80% of its charge in 30 minutes via a 150 kWh DC charger. The new SUV will be based on the I.D. All Volkswagen I.D.

At the Auto Shanghai 2017 show, Volkswagen is revealing the I.D. BUZZ in Detroit in 2017 ( earlier post ). BUZZ in Detroit in 2017 ( earlier post ). Using a 150 kW (DC) fast charger, the high-performance battery can be 80% recharged within 30 minutes. This is the third version of the new battery-electric I.D.

Lower-line Lightnings use the 12-inch horizontal display from high-end gasoline F-150s.

It was established in 2017 and is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where Volvo has been for a long time (although the Polestar 2 is built in China). For more affordable EVs, the Volvo brand has big plans to expand its lineup, and already offers the XC40 Recharge crossover. Still a bit of a mystery. Story by Steve Schaefer.

BMW’s announcement in 2017 that it had decided to make EV and plug-in variants of every single BMW and MINI model was met with some skepticism. It’s a challenging goal by any stretch of the imagination. But guess what? As of 2021, BMW has all its segments covered with more than 10 plug-in hybrid models to choose from.

A key thing, he said, will be to recharge the batteries at an acceptable time for the electricity grid — to “make sure people aren’t charging at the very peak, peak time,” like late afternoon when the electricity grid is already weighted down by demands like air conditioning.
