In Germany, testing by ADAC (Allgemeine Deutsche Automobil-Club eV) has found that all the Euro 6c and 6d-Temp vehicles that have been measured on the road to date meet much stricter requirements nitrogen oxides (NO x ) than required by the EU. Our measurement results show that diesel technology can have a future.

The BMW Group now has a total of nine electrified automobiles on the market: sales of these vehicles totalled 50,711 in the first seven months of the year, an increase of 74.8% Sales of our electrified vehicles continue to develop extremely well, with all nine of our electrified cars playing their role in this success.

A new study by a team from Aarhus University in Denmark has found that car dealerships pose a significant barrier to electric vehicle adoption at the point of sale due to a perceived lack of business case viability in relation to gasoline and diesel vehicles. Only three North America-focused studies exist as of 2017.

Volkswagen Group Rus and GAZ Group are extending their joint project to produce Volkswagen and ŠKODA cars at Gorky Automobile Plant and are opening up new development opportunities for the brands’ model ranges. The total number of cars produced so far under the cooperation between Volkswagen Group Rus and GAZ Group totals some 200,000.

The new designations stand for the specific power output and apply both to cars with combustion engines and to e-tron models with hybrid and electric drives. In the new Audi A5 and Q5 models, the V6 diesel outputs 210 kW (286 hp) as well as 620 N·m (457lb-ft) of torque (this engine version is not yet for sale. Audi recalls 24,000 cars in Europe with Euro 5 TDI engines. 14,000 of those 24,000 cars are registered in Germany. The recall is likely to start in July 2017.
