A UPS-led consortium has deployed new smart-grid charging technology in London that overcomes the challenge of simultaneously recharging an entire fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) without the need for the expensive upgrade to the power supply grid. SEUL is a two-year project that commenced in April 2017.

We have recently invested 42 million Euros to support manufacturing scale-up, and successfully commercialized graphene-based ultracapacitors in trucks, buses, and grid applications. In two packages of awards, the California Energy Commission approved more than $44 million to expand the hydrogen fueling infrastructure and increase the number of alter alternative fuel vehicles on the road in the state. Fueling infrastructure must be in place to support the successful introduction of these vehicles.
