The new medium-duty delivery trucks, added to the company’s existing autogas fleet of 30 Ford trucks of the same model, will also help the company save on maintenance and fuel costs. Propane autogas, a domestically produced fuel, costs the company an average of $1 per gallon, versus their $2 per gallon cost of diesel.

Rail Management Services ( RMS ), an intermodal lift-on/lift-off contractor with a hostling fleet of 700+ trucks, has placed a follow-on order for nine additional T-Series battery-electric terminal trucks from Orange EV. Orange EV offers a range of configurations built to meet site-specific requirements while managing cost.

Heavy-duty electric truck builder Orange EV announced that fleets in California can purchase a new T-Series pure electric terminal truck for less than the cost of a new Tier 4 diesel truck. More than 60% of Orange EV’s fleets have re-ordered. For FY 2016-17, funding has not yet been appropriated for this project.

Orange EV, a manufacturer of battery-electric heavy-duty trucks, announced that fleets in the state of New York can now save up to $150,000 per T-Series pure electric terminal truck (the 160 kWh model; the 80 kWh model is approved for a $123,960 voucher). Vouchers may be requested through December 31, 2016.
