Global CO2 emissions stalled for the third year in a row

The annual assessment of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by the JRC and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) confirms that CO 2 emissions have stalled for the third year in a row. Emissions from international transport (aviation and shipping) contribute another 3% to the total global GHG emissions.

TfL Board approves production order for 600 new hybrid buses for London

Hybrid buses typically deliver around a 30% fuel efficiency saving and around 20% reductions in NO x emissions. The introduction of the 600 buses will reduce CO 2 emissions in London by around 20,600 tonnes a year. Approximately 200 vehicles will be delivered in 2014, 250 in 2015 with the remainder in 2016.

EEA report finds most Europeans in cities still exposed to levels of air pollution exceeding WHO guidelines
