More than 150 public libraries throughout the central United States now lend out activity kits that let children explore just about any aspect of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The kits teach youngsters what engineers do, as well as how to code, build robots, design video games, and create animations.

Renesas Electronics Corporation has introduced a new all-in-one Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) view solution kit. The up to eight automotive cameras of the solution kit allow developers to collect data from the environment for sensor fusion, being a necessary step towards autonomous drive.

AvtoVAZ, the largest automaker based in Russia, a part of Rostec Corporation, introduced three new LADA concept cars at the Moscow International Motor Show 2014. The new design is expected to be track launched in 2015, with the first road tests planned for spring 2015. Production is scheduled to start in 2016 in Togliatti.

Renesas Electronics Corporation announced the global availability of its lineup of V2X solutions that will help accelerate the arrival of autonomous driving. In October 2015, Renesas launched the R-Car W1R, which conforms to Japan’s wireless communications standards, and is adopted in the ITS Connect1 V2V and V2I communications system.

As of the end of July 2013, Toyota Motor Corporation has sold more 5.5 TMG’s upgrade kit included racing exhaust and catalytic converter system, shorter final drive gear, motorsport suspension with adapted springs and adjustable ride height. Moving forward, Toyota plans to introduce 16 new or updated hybrids by the end of 2015.
