Nissan To Sell All-Electric Seven-Seat Minivan In Europe

Except for the 2012 Tesla Model S, there are no seven-seat all-electric vehicles for sale on the market today. Earlier this week, however, Nissan confirmed that it plans to sell a seven-seat minivan variant of the e-NV200 all-electric van in Europe when it enters production next year.

The Trends report has been published annually since 1975 and covers all passenger cars, sport utility vehicles, minivans, and all but the largest pickup trucks and vans. The final MY 2013 adjusted, real world CO 2 emissions rate for all light-duty gasoline and diesel-fueled vehicles is 369 g/m—a 7 g/mi decrease relative to MY 2012.

IIHS: small car driver death rates remain high

From 2015 to 2018 there were 147,324 fatalities, compared with 134,905 from 2012 to 2015. By that method, nine of the 20 models with the lowest death rates are luxury SUVs, two more are midsize luxury cars, and four others are minivans or very large SUVs. Their rates per 10 billion miles were the same.
