Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. Teslas new Model S will be pure EV and will get 160 miles per charge for $49,900 and for a bit more $$ you can get the 230 or 300 mile battery options. Deliveries start in 2011. Way to go morons.
