A123Systems scalable prismatic module is reconfigurable for applications ranging from 1 kWh to more than 100 kWh. Ah of capacity, and is targeted for mass production start in 2010. The 20 Ah cell is designed for plug-in and extended-range EV applications. Commercial mass production for the cell is due to start in 2010.

GM Releases New Viability Plan, Launches Bond Exchange; Phasing Out Pontiac

As part of the new plan, GM will accelerate the wind-down or sale of HUMMER, Saturn and Saab to the end of 2009, and phase out Pontiac by the end of 2010. The Pontiac brand will be phased out by the end of 2010. GM has received final bids for HUMMER from potential purchasers and is in the process of reviewing them.
