Toyota modifies the Prius and Camry Hybrids

At the 2009 SEMA Show, Toyota Motor Sales USA partnered with the Surfrider Foundation to create a specially modified Camry Hybrid fuelled by compressed natural gas (CNG). The CNG system was built by Metal Crafters of Fountain Valley, California and sees the petrol fuel system replaced with a CNG system in the spare tyre well.

While the leading green light will be the new 95PS diesel ecoFLEX model which achieves 76.3mpg combined and 98g/km of C02, the entire petrol range will be now more economical, yet more powerful.
