Here in the UK we’re so downtrodden by extortionate petrol prices that the prospect of driving fuel efficient green cars carries obvious appeal. It could be argued then that America is still drunk on cheap gasoline. Does something need to be done to push petrol prices up? Will green cars ever be popular there?

Hearts and minds But he admits that lack of awareness is not the only thing preventing a sceptical public from seeing EVs as a feasible alternative to the petrol and diesel cars they know and love. They will sell like hell when available.
