Major funding for the projects came from Industry Canada through Genome Canada and the Government of Alberta through Alberta Advanced Education and Technology. There are at least a half dozen different technologies to power cars with electricity under construction. This is a much bigger call than choosing VHS over Betamax, because owning a dead end technology could cost you $50,000. You also repeat the "peak oil" argument that Ive been reading since the 60s.
