Audi has unveiled the new-generation Audi A4 and A4 Avant, developed with a high priority on the reduction of CO 2 emissions. TFSI based on Miller cycle, introduced by Audi earlier this year at the Vienna Motor Symposium. TFSI with a displacement of 1,984 cc is available in two versions for the Audi A4 and A4 Avant.

Key advances for Gen 3 are in weight reduction, friction reduction, and the internal exhaust cooling system. Volkswagen first launched the EA888 engine generation in spring 2007 (Gen 1).
