I love the idea of powering my car from solar power. Unless/until PV cells become more efficient, and are part of the original installation, they will seriously affect the cars aerodynamics and will be far less durable than metal. How about a car-mounted wind-generator? How about putting PV cells on the roof of a PHEV?
