Nissan European R&D hosted a meeting at the Nissan Technical Center Europe (NTCE) in Bedfordshire (UK) to launch the UK Hydrogen Network (UK-HyNet) project. The Renault-Nissan Alliance will introduce zero-emission vehicles in the United States and Japan starting with electric vehicles from 2010.

One of the highlights of yesterday’s Green Car Day at City Hall in Central London was the appearance of the Nissan X-Trail Fuel Cell Vehicle. The car is part of Nissan’s fleet participating in the California Fuel Cell Partnership trials in the USA and has featured in a wide variety of low carbon events throughout Europe.

Nissan and UK regional development agency, One North East (ONE), have formed a partnership to explore the development of an electric vehicle program in the UK. Under the terms of the agreement, Nissan and One North East will form working teams to promote EVs including incentive schemes and educational programs.

Nissan Motor Co., provided an update on its progress under the Nissan Green Program 2010 (NGP 2010) mid-term environmental plan.
