Scientist have confirmed that unlike gasoline cars, plug-ins will get cleaner as they get older -- because our power grid is getting cleaner. This means the more maintenance-free electrical systems of PHEVs offset the initial higher cost of batteries. But theyve needed definitive proof that PHEVs wont increase pollution.

Daimler/Mercedes Took over Daimler/Chrysler Sprinter PHEV program. The utility.will get a Ford plug-in hybrid vehicle by the end of this year and as many as 20 by some time in 2009 to test their durability, range and impact on the power grid, said Susan M.
