Most of the battery packs and propulsion equipment for the Russian capital’s electric buses are made by Drive Electro, which has manufactured and supplied components for 400 of the city’s electric vehicles. This year, Drive Electro will supply Moscow with battery packs for a further 200 electric buses.

XALT Energy (originally founded in 2009 as Dow-Kokam, LLC), a leading developer and manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries, signed a global exclusive agreement with Hybrid Kinetic Group (HK Group) of China for the supply of its Lithium Titanate (LTO) batteries from its manufacturing facilities in Midland, Michigan for all-electric buses in China.

Honda selected Toshiba Corporation’s SCiB rechargeable Li-ion battery to power the Fit EV. Toshiba will supply battery modules for the new car, which Honda will launch in summer 2012 in Japan and the US. The SCiB generates little heat even during this fast recharging, eliminating the need for power to cool the battery module.

The chassis is being supplied by Ludhiana based Vinod and Co , who seems to be quite popular with a lot of EV manufacturers. The master franchisee also looks at supplying to multi brand outlets, a channel which accounts for bulk of the EV sales today. This makes fast recharging possible and provides high currents when needed.
