Kulongoski, Oregon as the electric-car manufacturer may be eyeing the “green” city of Portland. The MiEV runs on a lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged in seven or so hours on a 240-volt line. Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids.
