I had been planning to attend CES , the gigantic annual consumer electronics show, in person this year.That is, until about a week ago, when the current Covid surge made travel, dining out, and spending time indoors surrounded by large numbers of strangers seem like bad ideas. Alas, that won’t be happening this week. Sensor-laden Rings.

I’m traveling today to Las Vegas for the in-person CES 2023. In no particular order, here are a few of the gadgets I’m planning to check out in person. It claims a two-and-a-half-year battery life with no recharging. At this point, little pricing information is available; I’ll add it as it emerges.

This week, tickets went on sale for audience seating for the next season of Battlebots ; filming will commence in October in Las Vegas. They've got more technology built into them so the team can have a person monitoring things like heat, and they'll know when to, for instance, shut a weapon down. They've gotten more efficient.

During a press event held during CES in Las Vegas, XPeng’s electric aviation business arm AeroHT shared new details regarding two of its “flying cars.” That vehicle has come to be known as the “Land Aircraft Carrier,” and according to news from XPeng and AeroHT in Vegas today, will enter mass production in 2025.

Mission Motors, developer of the high-performance Mission One PLE electric motorcycle, launched Mission Electric Vehicle Technology (MissionEVT), the company’s high-performance EV Powertrain Division, at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Marketing Association Show (SEMA) in Las Vegas. Recharging takes about 2 hours at 240V.
