Reducing steam generation requirements and optimizing the generation process reduces the GHG overhead associated with the production of heavier oil. Indonesia’s Duri heavy oil field has also achieved an ultimate recovery factor of 70% after employing steamflood technology. Current product flow at Kern River field.
