Mitsubishi Motors and the State of Hawaii to begin effort on EV infrastructure and deployment

MMNA) and the State of Hawaii have entered into an agreement that will seek to vastly improve the infrastructure and deployment for the new Mitsubishi i and other advanced 100% electric-powered vehicles (EVs) for residents. Licensed drivers will be able to test drive the new Mitsubishi i at Cutter Mitsubishi in Aiea, Hawaii later this fall.

AeroVironment completes first electric vehicle commercial charging station installations in Hawaii

AeroVironment has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Marriott Waikiki in Hawaii. The new chargers are part of Hawaii’s growing charging infrastructure currently being deployed to support electric vehicles. In March of this year AeroVironment received a $820,000 contract from the Hawaii EV Ready Grants Program.

CODA Launches Direct to Consumer Sales of CODA EV

MSRP is $44,900, with federal tax savings from 0-$7,500. Excludes tax, title and license. After tax savings, the net price is as low as $37,400. CODA also currently plans to begin selling vehicles in Hawaii in the third quarter of 2011, where the car will be eligible for a $4,500 tax rebate offered in the state.
