GM recently entered into a 50/50 partnership with Reva, the Indian electric car company, to produce an electric version of the Chevrolet Spark. Reva has been selling small EVs in India and England for the past few years. That's about 10% of the total number of gas-powered Sparks GM will sell this year in India.

US car giant GM is to develop and market a small, cheap electric car for the Indian market. The car maker will develop the car in conjunction with Reva, the manufacturer of electric vehicles, best known for its G-Wiz models in the UK. GM India and Reva will jointly develop car platforms and electric vehicle technology for the vehicle.
