Finally, a plug-hybrid powertrain combines an electric motor and a 2.5-liter I spent time with the more-powerful turbo as well as the PHEV. The PHEV, on the other hand, was impressively smooth throughout more of the rev range. Like the turbo, the PHEV was punchy, but it seemed easier to summon its power at light throttle.
