It is already starting to prepare for the model year 2024 F-150 update which has already been revealed in the USA. Lightning was among the first electric full-size pick-ups to go on-sale in the USA.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Committed to sales of 10,000 or more vehicles in late 2010, with increasing production in 2011. Expected deposits in 2009 and first sales in CA in 2010.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Reply ↓ ↑ report 8 Roger Smith 3:45PM (4/25/2009) Why do they even sell the Gas ver of the car in the states the Diesel ver just makes more sense it gets almost twice the mileage of the petrol ver. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties. and 49 mpg.
