APWorks, a 100% subsidiary of Airbus Group, has unveiled the first 3D-printed motorcycle. Dubbed the Light Rider, the motorcycle is made using APWorks’ Scalmalloy material, and weighs only 35 kg (77 lbs). The result is a motorcycle that looks more like an organic exoskeleton than a machine.

Perhaps more interesting than the ride, at least for some electro-geeks, are some of the pictures Doug took of the battery pack on display that will go into the electric smarts. I wish the thing was for sale as-is. For 20k at that size it should have been electric to begin with. from the Tesla Roadster.

The whole operation could take less than five minutes, pretty much the same amount of time many people spend filling their gas tanks at stations today.
