The electricity for recharging has to come from somewhere, which means power plants. Toyota still has not made any money on the Prius. Another point; a Jetta diesel has near the same mileage as a Prius and the Jetta Blue TDI will exceed the Prius. I’m sick of hearing about the Prius….I

The current tax credit has a base of $2,500 and is replaced with a new $4,000 base credit as long as the EV has a battery of at least 10 kWh and can be plugged in and recharged.
