Ford has invested in extending that segment to include commercial EV sales, service, and financing to make its commercial customers’ transition to EV trucks easy and seamless. Horsepower is 452 for the standard range version and 580 for the extended range truck, and the torque for both versions is 775 pound-feet.

Similarly, in the USA there’s also been an uptick in EV sales in states like Colorado, Massachusetts, and New York, all of which have ambitious carbon-reduction goals and cold winters.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010.
