GM sold 2,633 units of the Volt extended range electric vehicle in December, up 72.2% Nissan North America, Inc. While Toyota took second place for the year, with 12,750 units of the Prius PHV plug-in hybrid, it dropped to third place in December with 1,361 units of the PHV. from the 2011 results. (NNA)

The head of Chryslers ENVI division, Lou Rhodes, told AutoblogGreen this morning that Chrysler is marketing this battery-only version of the van to commercial fleet customers who typically have shorter range requirements.
