Volkswagen brought the new CrossBlue Coupé plug-in hybrid sporty mid-size SUV show car, introduced in April at Auto Shanghai 2013 ( earlier post ), to a media event in Berlin for its European premiere. The Group also is using the New Small Family (NSF) kit; the MLB (Modular longitudinal kit); and the MSB (Modular standard kit).

During a media event in Wolfsburg, Germany, Volkswagen provided a medium dive into details of its two-seater XL1 Super Efficient Vehicle diesel plug-in hybrid ( earlier post ) as well as some driving time on local roads and highways. kWh Li-ion battery pack—which is sited in front of the passenger area. XL1s ready to roll.

The EVent was honoring Arizona's military bases and civic leaders who have promoted clean fuels. Put another way, the fuel cell technology is being developed so as to work as components in the MQB (transverse) kit, the development of which is led by the Volkswagen brand, and the MLB (longitudinal) kit being driven by Audi. kWh Li-ion battery in the h-tron is adopted from the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron plug-in hybrid.

kWh Li-ion polymer pack from LG Chem provides the energy storage. The high-voltage Li-ion battery package includes not only the energy storage system for the hybrid powertrain, but also a Li-ion 12V auxiliary battery; this packaging allowed Hyundai to remove the 50 Ah AGM battery, saving 26 lbs (12 kg) in the process.
