The event, which was inaugurated last year, challenges entrants to use the least amount of energy driving the 60-mile route. This is the only event in the world that demonstrates real cars, in real conditions, that is measured independently and in the public eye. Last year we won with our petrol car the T.25 27 on the UK roads.

For extended range I guess one could carry a fairly modest generator set in the trunk to avoid ever being stranded.
