Yamaha Motor and Hero Motors Limited have signed an agreement that they will jointly establish a company to manufacture hub-mounted drive units for electric bicycles. The joint venture will see Hero Motors holding the share of 90 per cent stake and Yamaha Motor has 10 per cent. Ampler Bikes raises €7.4M in equity funding.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has delivered the first 50 i-MiEV new-generation electric vehicles (EV) out of 507 units scheduled to be provided to the Estonian government. MMC plans to complete shipment of the entire order to Estonia by the end of the 2011 fiscal year.
