In an attempt to clear up confusion over where the current Volvo C40 Recharge and Volvo XC40 Recharge sits in its growing EV line-up both will be renamed for 2024. From now on the Volvo XC40 Recharge will go by the Volvo EX40 name, while the more rakish C40 Recharge will be rebadged as the EC40. 2024 Volvo EX40.

Fresh details suggest Volvo is on track to launch an all-new battery-electric replacement for the current S90 that will be named the Volvo ES90 when it hits showrooms in 2025. Thanks to its new platform, the Volvo should maximise passenger space as it gets a huge 3100mm wheelbase – 105mm longer than the bigger BMW i5.

The first all-electric Volvo EM90 officially rolled off the assembly line on Tuesday. Volvo’s EM90 is the brand’s first electric minivan, complete with a “Scandinavian living room” interior. It’s an age-old cliché, but there really is no place like home,” Volvo CEO Jim Rowan said after unveiling the new EV.

Volvo Cars is starting 2024 with its 17th straight month of growth. Volvo’s all-electric model lead the growth, with global EV sales up 17% in January. Volvo EV sales lead January growth Volvo sold a total of 53,402 vehicles last month, up 10%, marking its 17th straight month of growth.

Volvo reached its highest-ever share of electrified vehicles as its new fully electric EX30 boosted EV sales in February. Although overall sales slid 2% last month, Volvo’s fully electric vehicle sales were up 14%, reaching a new record share. Fully electric cars also set a new record.

It’s been rumored for years and now a prototype for an electrical full-size SUV from Genesis has been noticed, revealing styling alike to the smaller GV80. The pristine SUV is anticipated to be referred to as a GV90 and input manufacturing in early 2025, possibly at a plant within the U.S.
