Range-extended luxury car, the Fisker Karma has received its emission certification and fuel economy rating from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), clearing the way for the car maker’s dealers to begin selling the car to customers.

Fisker Automotive, maker of the plug-in Karma sports sedan, hasn’t had an easy time of late, thanks to the Karma’s rather low EPA fuel economy rating and slower-than-expected initial production volumes. But that is all behind the firm, company Chairman Ray Lane told Reuters yesterday.

The Polestar 1 can go 52 miles on pure electric (per the EPA), which can be added-to through regenerative braking and, when in the Power drive mode, where the battery is being charged by the gasoline engine.

That’s a real bummer about your lack of money old Chucky, but I’m still laughing away at your karma, dude. All I ever heard them do was badmouth the small Honda car I drive and complain about CAFE fuel economy standards. Guess what? I’ve got a real funny way for them to use their big sledge hammers now.
