EPA is proposing , at the request of the State of Maine, to require the sale of reformulated gasoline ( RFG ) in York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Androscoggin, Kennebec, Knox and Lincoln counties in southern Maine starting in June 2015. RFG is currently used in 17 states and the District of Columbia.

Further, administrative records fail to demonstrate that even new model year motor vehicles (other than flexible fuel vehicles) would not be damaged and result in failures when run on E-15.
