November 2018 Hands On article, “DIY Pro Audio ” in IEEE Spectrum , and it convinced me it was possible, although I wanted to go beyond just a power amplifier to something more like my lamented Sansui. In commercial product development, an optimized microcontroller would be the way to go, but for my DIY project, a Pi was perfect.

and taking about 6 hours to charge @ 10amps per charger from a standard 115 volt ac plug rated at 15 amps. We hope in the near future to purchase lithium batteries which will most definitely increase the range to about 100 km (62 miles), improve the top speed to about 100 km per hour and have a battery life between 5 and 10 years.

The three-point, 400-volt plug, which will allow electric cars to be recharged anywhere in a matter of minutes , will be unveiled Monday at the world’s biggest industrial technology fair in Hanover, northern Germany. At the time of the press release, I could not find a definitive picture. Sorry for any confusion.

Not to mention the parts you most definitely could sell from the running gear. Chevys volt is exactly what a family with kids would need, as is the Tesla model S, and yea, theyre both pricey. It seems like it still may be cheaper to just buy a well used Lotus Elise and modify it yourself. Its new technology, it takes time, and money.

Vancouvers trolley bus fleet operates at 600 volts and god knows how many amps. Definitely wont work. Around town you will virtually never need a charge and if one lane on the highway had a 440 volt commutator groove cut in it where cars could drop their charge shoe into while traveling at 60MPH uninterrupted ala slot car.
