Although the EPA has not as of this writing released the final fuel economy numbers for the US A3 e-tron, Filip Brabec, Director, Product Management, Audi of America, said that the figures will be around 83 to 86 MPGe combined (depending on the equipment level), with 35 to 39 mpg gasoline only and 16-17 miles of EV range. 2024 Ford E-Transit Peak DC fast-charging power also rises to 176 kw with new dual onboard chargers, allowing the E-Transit to replenish 67 miles of range in 15 minutes of charging, using a 180-kw charger, according to Ford. Ford also touts Pro Power Onboard, as offered in the F-150 family, including the Lighting Pro electric work truck.

Mitsubishi’s North American-spec i-MiEV battery electric vehicle ( earlier post )—available in either an ES base model or upgrade SE trim package —will be available to test drive at US dealerships beginning in November 2011 with the first scheduled customer vehicle deliveries set to commence in early 2012.

The Volt is, and always has been, more than than an electric car. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. Wired Home Subscribe Sections Cars 2.0 But it is a price that must be paid, and GM should be commended for remaining committed to the Volt. Thats short-sighted.
