Most recently, Toyota announced that its fuel cell sedan would also be available in the UK, USA, Germany and Denmark during the summer of 2015. Honda next year will offer Californians futuristic sedans that can travel 300 miles (480 km) or more on a tank of hydrogen gas while emitting nothing more toxic than pure water vapor.

Current consortium members include Accenture ( ACN ), Current Group, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and Ventyx. Annual use of an EV should be less than the average cost of $8,000 per year for using a gasoline in many countries including the USA. Smart meters and substations will be integral.
